The launch of the Conservative Party policy document 'Built to Last' this week has shown why so many Tory activists are turning to the UK Independence Party.

The people of Britain are desperate to have an effective opposition to this disastrous Government and this document demonstrates why the Conservatives are just not capable of providing it.

U K Independence Party Leader, Roger Knapman MEP said: "The Conservatives slow transformation into Blue-Labour continues unabated. There is no commitment to lower taxation, no considered immigration policy, and their attitude toward Europe shows just how spineless they are.

"In policy area after policy area they prove that they are not fit to govern. Insipid comments about crime, education and the environment won't inspire and certainly don't give people confidence. Those people in Britain who want a party which supports lower taxation, free global trade, a strong immigration policy and freedom from Brussels are only represented by UKIP."

"Nothing in current Conservative thinking suggests they have any beliefs at all."

....and UKIPs polcies are?

So far we have released one policy document on education. Members have just been told to accept it - there is no democratic accountability with members - the education policy document being riddled with errors and mistakes!

Before attacking the policies of the Governments official opposition - perhaps we should have a full raft of policies to fall back on?

....and why yet again are we attacking the tories while letting the New Labour Government get away scott free on so many things?

The press release sounds like a rant from a bitter ex tory who wishes for the tories to be more right wing. Why the f*** should we in UKIP give a toss for the failings of the blue labour under Camoron? I care more about promoting UKIP and ensuring electoral success. I don't give a toss that the tories are unfit to be the official opposition or have wishy washy policies on the EU, immigration or taxation!

The only people who care are people who are trying to influence the direction of the tories.

UKIP is not a tory fringe political pressure group whose sole aim is to make the toreis more eurosceptic.

I get the impression that this is how some of our MEPs treat UKIP as merelly a vessel to hammer the tories and make them change direction!

If the toreis adopt UKIP policies - what is the point of UKIP?

Is it wise to lecture the tories on what they should be doing? They might just steal our clothes and using language that our suporters may find attractive!

There should be clear blue water between UKIP and blue labour - and we should be attacking this disgraceful new labour government.
