Default Is DCB fit to hold in any role in the Party?

Is David Campbell Bannerman fit to hold any office in UKIP?

Nigel Farage's accolytes and sycophants have deliberately set out to undermine Richard Suchorzewski's leadership bid by spreading lies and rumours regarding his previous excperience, and attempting to link him to the BNP.

As Chairman, David Campbell Bannerman has a duty to act in all matters which threaten to bring the Party into disrepute. He has ignored all requests to act against those who are conducting this vicious smear campaign against Richard, and therefore must be seen as approving of this disgraceful behaviour.

Actually, "bringing the party into disrepute" is the province of the discipline committee...

If DCB got involved, he'd be accused of doing it as a leadership candidate himself to harm his opposition.

Any investigation MUST be independent; DCB is not the man to conduct it.

Want to blame someone? Fine, but blame the person who started the lies in the first place.

Sadly there is zero possablity of the guilty being held to account, even though there is documented evidence.

The party is in the grip of a cabal, intent on retaining that grip no matter what the cost.

The one thing that has sickened me more than anything though, is looking people in the eye where they accept what has happened, but are willing to overlook it for their man.

UKIP different to any other party?

I'm finding that hard to believe at this moment in time.

As for DCB, he is quite happy for lots of other things positive to his leadership bid to go on, that could be seen as unfair in an election. You can believe these are all just conviniently dropping into place, just as the ballots go out if you want, with no planning. If he had shown such activity during the rest of his pitful reign as chairman, I might have believed it myself.

Discipline committee members only become involved if the party secretary decides there is a prima facie case for further investigation. I suggest you write Doug Denny, and maybe Geoffrey Kinsgscott (gensec@ukip.org)...

What's the point writing to Doug Denny? He's a fully paid up member of the cabal.

Heck he even got sigs for Nigels nomination for him.

On the policy front David Bannerman has some distinctly bizarre ideas, but in this area he is probably just about the best of a pretty poor bunch.

However, he is a weak, bullying man with poor implementation skills, and that to my mind should disqualify him.

However, he clearly will continue to hold office after the election, when he will certainly set out to settle scores.

The point is, at the moment, he's the only means by which the discipline process can be triggered - Assuming that's the correct hammer for this nut...
