It would be interesting if UKIP has some followers of the Jewish faith and the Islamic faith and they let us know what they think UKIP should be doing.

UKIP should condemn the Israeli aggression against lebanon and request an immediate ceasefire. UKIP should also urge a lasting settlement in the Middle East, which will include the withdrawal of all Israeli forces and settlements to behind the pre-1967 border, the demolition of the Israeli wall where it encroaches into the West Bank, and reparations to be paid to those Palestinians who have lost assets in Israel because they were forced off their land.

It must also press for a United Nations peaqcekeeping force to be based in Jerusalem.

Hmm. Or perhaps UKIP should have the common sense to keep quiet until the dust settles, and/or we get the leadership election over with?

One of the most annoying things about the present (UKIP) situation is that Roger seems bent on sabotage. We've had several press releases now containing implausible policy declarations, and we're apparently going to get one on UKIP's education policy tomorrow.

This raises two issues:

Firstly, if Roger wanted a tidy transition to the new regime, he'd be doing whatever he could to ensure the contest ran fairly -- he isn't.

Secondly, the right thing for a leader to do at this time is to avoid making policy statements, so as to leave the field clear for the new chap.

I can only read this sort of statement (Roger's) as stirring-it, and a weak attempt to paint whoever-it-is either into a corner or forcing a public volte face.

Sneaky...

ukpatriot - with all due respects, if the warring parties take little notice of UN resolutions, do U honestly expect ANYONE to take any notice of a press release from a party / political pressure group, who have NO MPs, practically NO councillors, have been going backwards since 2004 and even now in 2006, many people in the UK have never even heard of.
C'mon now - you serious?

It is not just significant to those of the Islamic & Jewish faith but also extremely significant to Christians

My non religious stance is like Mr Knapman said Hezbula are firing Iranian missiles deliberatly at civilians. They then deliberatly place themselves amongst Lebonise civilians so as to maximise their simpathy support off the back of civilian losses. They have no regard for ether Iraeli or Lebonise civilians as they deliberatly try to get both lots killed.

My Christian religious stance is that the ilegal ocupation of 1946 stance is complete rubbish Isreal was an established nation of Isreal thousands of years B.C

The Arab population had only been in control for the last few hundred, lodgers in the land while the Isreali people were displaced around the world without thier homeland as a nation anymore.

Isreal have their country back because God has given them it back and after the hundreds of years in excile and the persicution suffered they are not about to let anything jepordise them loosing thier nation ever again.

My Christian stance is that any nation who fights against Isreal will come to grief and that includes us. I think it is not the land that is driving this problaim but the muslims hatred towards the concept of Judaism as a faith and Isreal as a people, them being a nation is simply the cherry on the cake. Those of us who are religious see a far greater significance in this issue than a political one.

Also thier is a school of thought taking myth and looking at our history closely that suggests we the Brittish people origionate from Isreal. The word Brittish means covenant man.

I am jewish and totally believe in Israel.

UKIP should mind its own business in affairs that have nothing to do with it. If UKIP cannot do anything in this country then why should it even say anything in any other country.

I know there are many posters who have very valid points for and against Israel.

[/b]BUT

Why bother as if we cannot even have a say in what our own country does why bother even expressing your views on something that is nothing at all to do with us at UKIP.

If and when ewe have a new strong leader and this party means something then all views for and against will amount to something. As now all views are a total joke .
