Default Independence

or Mark Croucher's personal mouthpeice, apparently.

Quote:
I am saddened to note that precious little attention has been paid to my appeal for a moderate campaign...............dragged down to the level of muck-slinging by the supporters of one candidate in particular.
Croucher's head will roll for this. Farage will have apoplexy to see Croucher writing about his 'close confidants' who accuse others of being linked to the BNP.

Back page made me laugh!

The next issue will feature UKIP campaigning tools, including the editors (almost finished) UKIP coloured Burlington Arrow (Note - a car, pictured). If you have any eye-catching props, vehicles, outfits etc, please send a picture in to the usual addresses.
Jokey outfits and vehicles does not make a party.

The front page made me laugh.

Pictures of DCB and Farage (no surprise there then).

The main picture being of Roger Knapman handing out leaflets of Nigel Farage. How apt!

Inside of course we got numerous pictures of Nigel and DCB. Some glowing tribute to Roger (I don't begrudge him this actually, even if he has made some serious balls ups of late).

Anthony managed to get a piccie of him self in though, but he looks like Dr Who in it.

The leadership election pack, with glossy double sided pages of A4 for the candidates was good though and the ballots are done about a well as you can for a postal vote. Well done on that front.

Richards glossy is the same one that was put on seats at hustings, only the only colour bit was his face for some reason.

DCB's was fairly similar.

David Noakes said if you don't vote me then vote Richardski!

Nigels was probably the most amateurish of the lot, with a fuzzy photo and basic letter style format.

So in shor the election packs were good.

Independence news was as subtle as a house brick in it's attempts to promote certain candidates, but no surprise there.

I too was shocked at Marks dig at the Farage campaign, in his veiled attack on dirty tricks. I'm glad he didn't say it was due to the BNP slurs though, as propagating the myth is not cricket.

Yes, mark C 'coming out of the closet' as it were against farage is a real suprise. Good job he didn't name names or life in the press office would be fairly interesting.

He's right though. Dirty trix like associating candidates with the BNP should get a mention, at the very least.

Playing Devil's advocate, since no action was taken against the BNP allegations, the editorial could be implying that Richard's camp were mud slinging? I do hope not, but it is deliberatly ambiguous...

SponPlague, from your post elsewhere on Richard's address I understood that you hadn't yet seen the Indy ?

Yes, that was my initial reaction as well.

I thought that the publication was very good, very professional with several interesting looking articles, not had time to read them yet and excellent coverage of Trevor Coleman's campaign, replies are now more than double the figure quoted. Similarly with DCB comment on fund raising through the Devon HQ is almost double his figure, as advised at the Exeter hustings.

Liked the pic of Mark's car.

Unless I've missed it there is no return address/indication for the Conference ticket application form on page 10. reasonable to assume HQ in Devon.
