Default Newsnight tonight

I have just been told that Mr Farage will be on Newsnight tonight, in a live debate with Polly Toynbee, the IPPR and someone else from the Labour Party.
The debate will be on immigration.

It might just be something to do with that press release, mentioned on a previous thread.

We should have a leadership contest more often. Never before have we had so much coverage.

I think standing in Bromley helped our profile and newsworthiness too.Shame about Blaunau Gwent though!

What would we have gained by standing here?

There was already a very strong anti-establishment candidate and the only big issue of the campaign was frankly an internal dispute in the Labour party. Even if we could have fought a proper campaign we would have polled badly. Of course with Bromley rightly taking a huge amount of attention in terms of activists from around the country there would have been very little national support so it would have been very hard to run a campiagn in a constituency that probably has very few UKIP members.

Toynbee is a committed europhile who thinks Bliar and the Bliar Government is not pro-EU enough. She is also a republican and has used a number of appearances on television interviews to call for the abolition of our ancient Monarchy.

Her wish is for the UK to be a Franco-German controlled statelet in a european republic.

Toynbee -a 'wine-and-cheese' socialist - is totally out-of-touch with the views of the British people and the lives led by the bulk of the population.

She has made derogatory remarks about UKIP in articles written for the fanatically pro-EU Guardian accusing it of being extremist.

This looks like BBC leftist bias before the 'discussion' on Newsnight has even taken place - Toynbee, Labour and the pro-Labour IPPR are all pro-immigration. So that's three who favour mass influx against one (Mr. Farage) who rightly doesn't.

I shall be watching this carefully on tonight's Newsnight to see if there are grounds to complain about bias.
