Default Who to vote for?

I need help .. who should I vote for. :?

After reading a few things my heart says Richard but when I've seen clips of Nigel my head says him.

As I was unable to attend any hustings can someone reassure me that Richard is very confident speaking like Nigel etc I would hate to have an IDS!!

I'm biased because I've made my mind up that the party needs to become a UK political party and not a pressure group.

Nigel has been heavily involved in the founding and management of the party. He sits not only on the NEC (fair enough, elected by members, I voted for him for the NEC myself), but also with a limited number of others on the Chairman's committee (membership at Chairman's invitation). Policy and strategy decided and then discussed with NEC. Having been heavily involved therefore in the management side over many years he hasn't delivered in UK elections (as opposed to Euro in 2004 where he did on the back of Dick Morris, the American strategist).

Nigel supberb speaker but based on the Exeter hustings last Sunday Richard clearly won the day (to my surprise).

If you overall want a speaker only, as your post implies, go for Nigel.

If you want a Leader, with vision and man mangement skills and a can-do approach - like winning UK elections - Richard is your man, he's mine anyway - no IDS he.

Take a look at this page:

http://www.richard4leader.co.uk/media.html

You can listen to most of his speech from the Exeter hustings, or watch an older video of him.

Thanks Colin for that balanced view. I agree, and add that NF is still a great speaker, and one thing is sure, we need him in the party to run the MEP group and to focus the brussels based end of the attack.

Agreed.

There is a significant difference between even an extremely effective Sales Manager and a Sales/Marketing or Managing Director.

"There is a significant difference between even an extremely effective Sales Manager and a Sales/Marketing or Managing Director"

And between a bank manager and a leader.

Well, since NF is not leader, to be accurate you should have said:-

And between a bank manager and a commodities broker

If you are going to use comparisons suggest you get them correct.

I have been there, seen it, experienced it and the results. Yep tee shirt, book, the lot.

How long do you want some-one running things before they, and the business, are run into the ground?

It is a two horse race and Colin's posting just about sums it up.

As far as I'm concerned UKIPs time is now and Richard is the man to lead UKIP out of the wilderness!
