Someone phoned to say that the candidates will be speaking at 7.30pm on Monday at the Shoreham Centre, Pond Road, Shoreham-by-Sea, (BN43 5WU)
Nobody else seems to have posted any reference to this so I thought Id put it up. I will go if I can and see what these guys are all about. |

I gather one or two of the candidates were none too happy about this additional engagement, but when the heard the others were going they quickly fell into line. |

I attended this meeting last night and I must say I was most impressed with Richard Suchorzewski.
Nigel was a bit on the defensive I thought, but having said that I thought it was Richard who ended up looking less sure of himself in an argument about the Ashford call centre and alleged waste of funds. I will vote for one or other of these men. DCB comes over as capable, thoughtful, and a 'safe pair of hands' but too low-key to make a media impact. The fourth guy is completely off the wall, with some theories which seem to come from the 'Bentley Turbo' stable. However, good to hear that they were all Young Conservatives and that at least a couple of them were relatively high-profile Tory activists (Richard and DCB) Excellent also that, in response to my question, all four called for an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon. At this stage I did begin to warm to Mr Noakes who condemned the Americans and Israelis outright as the 'warmongers' they are. |

Someone also asked how UKIP were going to attract younger members. I would think the average age of the 100-200 people there would have been 60+
Waffle but no answers to this, because there are no answers. The social conditions that made the YCs such a roaring success no longer exist, nor can they ever be recreated. |
