I say orchestrated because John Moran is an ardent Nigel supporter, so his question wasn't intended to acquire information, it was an attempt to embarrass that backfired.
I believe they have financial connections!!!

There was no reported barracking of DCB, so Nigel clearly doesn't see him as a threat. More evidence to back up the two-horse race argument.
I suspect that DCB will be out of a job after the election, although Richard might be able to use his "skills". BTW, is DCB paid? and if so by whom UKIP or Brussels.

Steve Harris is Nigel's Regional Organiser, and therefore an employee.
Looking after his job then!!

I like Steve Harris actually. He works hard and it isn't a crime to be loyal, even if we believe UKIP needs a new leader.

I would hope our new leader will draw a line in the sand and use everyones talents to the full, but just cut out the cronyism and transform UKIP into the open, fair and encouraging party it has to be.

I honestly believe that a fresh new leader will do that.

I'm sure Richard will use everyone's talents. What happens to the ROs, because I understand that they are paid by the Independence & Democracy Group??

At the Chelmsford hustings today Richardski promised Petrina the Chairmanship if he is successful and DCB reiterated his intention to appoint Delroy.

Wrong, I think. Petrina has agreed to be Richards Deputy, with special focus on fundraising.

Richards chairman may well be an 'elder statesman' of the party, known to all members as someone of gravitas and honesty. Not some unknown who just happened to stand in the election, or some mate in a camel hair coat!

Sorry I stand corrected;he does indeed intend to appoint Petrina Deputy Leader not Chairman------dementia is creeping on.It is my understanding that this would involve an amendment to the constitution.

I am a Ski supporter(after going to the hustings with an open mind). All these tactics, ruses, and strategies are really P****** me off. i thought when i joined i was joining a party with integrity.
We seem to be getting all sorts of spin, tricks etc. I could just as easily join LibLabCon and be lied to.
Petrina, where do you stand? if we are electing a new leader, then we do need to Know who/what we are voting for.

No tricks - it was just misreported. Petrina is still being offered exactly the same position of Deputy as before.

Fine, except that we are trying to elect a leader not an deputy, if there is such a position.
Petrina stood for election, and then pulled out on the grounds of her partners health, but has been offered a position anyway. I would like to know if the deputies position is likely to require less hours / commitment to the cause than being leader. Sorry if this is too blunt and i do not wish to upset Petrina, but I believe we should be able to say on the doorstep that: No we are not the same as LibLabCon. and that we are not slippery.
