Default UKIP Press Release - The Bilderbergers!

http://www.ukip.org/ukip_news/gen12.php?t=1&id=2359

Should UKIP do more to educate the British public about the Bilderbergers - or does discussing them make UKIP sound like a bunch of conspiracy theory nuts?

Depends on how it's worded.

I think he worded it fine in this instance.

No question about it, it makes us sound like a bunch of conspiracy theory nuts.

Can we also stop talking about 'common purpose', please? People are already pointing at us and laughing, lets not make it worse.

The Bilderbergers are an NGO. Common Purpose is a networking/self development project, and a very successful one at that.

There are thousands of both out there. If you can't understand that, then please just accept it and live with it. Or are they all conspiracies to take over the World?

Is it soley the name "Bilderberg" that you are objecting to here?

I have read the article again and all I see is a demand for our political elite to be more transparant about their dealings, in deciding our future.

Nothing about ruling the world, nothing about space lizards, nothing about New World Orders.

What is the beef?

I have not read it - life is too short - but the subject certainly does have the capacity to make UKIP sound like a bunch of fruitcakes.

What the berger builders do is quite legitimate. There is no law against it as far as I know - it's called politics.

I would not think it is important enough to put on the UKIP website personally. How does discussing it help make UKIP electable - not at all - so the space and time given to it could be better used.

The question is does UKIP have any ideas of its own beyond a liking for free trade agreements and small tanks - and if not how does it expect to attract voters?

If UKIP cannot engage voters attention on the implications of the European Union anything deeper is a non starter.

Let's just do better and more effectively that which we are trying to do.

Starting with effective new Leadership.

I have always thought it was fortunate that this group met in the Bilderberg Hotel, and not the Holiday Inn or the local Travelodge. The 'Holiday Inners' lacks the sort of sinister ring of the 'Bilderbergers', while who could believe that the 'Travelodgers' were a plot to take over the world?

Nothing wrong with the press release Mark.

Haven't seen it in the press though or on national TV/Radio. Unless it appeared on London locals. Released on 19th.

Do you really think the public will engage on this? If the media won't or even can't.
