Default ukip shadow cabinet

can we have a ukip shadow cabinet please.

sorry I expect this has been raised 1000 times.

it to me sounds so much more convincing than a spokesperson / rep. / MEP / call it what you want.

Call it what you like , the essentials are spokespersons on the major national issues pensions/crime etc .. but to do that ( shock horrer ) would mean UKIP starting to take the first steps to becoming a credible political party and we cant have that can we. Also it would mean each of the 10 MEPs taking a major domestic spokesman portfolio , to lobby on it and be instantly available to BBC etc to speak on it ... but we cant expect that can we..... and even worse it would mean UKIP starting to take local elections and regionalisation seriously by having a key MEP "cabinet" spokesman on local government issues to gain credibility and show that UKIP has something to offer.

Nope ... nothing until maybe after the leadership election.

Yes we dop need one. And it has eben raised many times before.
The arguement against is this:

If we have a full shadow cabinet we need experienced, full time, spokespeople. These people need to fully understand their subject so that they can hold their own against the experienced poltiicians of the cabinet and shadow cabinet. Where can we find these people? How do we pay these people?

It is a pretty convinging arguement. However, we do need to establish a shadow cabinet but how does one solve the issues raised above?

I hear what you say, but thats the whole thing with modern politics and policies -they try to complicate everthing. so poor joe public will not understand the monsters they have created.

say an ASBO -what is the point of it ?
say child family tax credit -so complex most break the rules without knowing
say the war in Iraq -why ?

all our shadow cabinet wouId need to say is the same as the man in the street. the administration have gone crazy. then offer simple answers,
like do the crime - do the time,
like earn cash then save some and spend some,
like no first strike in 95 % of international conflicts,
like this is a Christian nation -get used to it.

one couId go on.....I mean what I am saying is not absolutes, there are some in genuine need and the law can produce rare exceptions etc but lab/con/lib do not live on the same planet as Mr Ordinary.
