The eurosceptics in the Conservative party have been made to look like fools.
How much more of this are they going to take?

Q:When will Tory eurosceptics join UKIP?
A: When UKIP offers a full, positive, progressive agenda. Why leave a political party to join a pressure group? Quote:

I agree about the joining UKIP bit.
But how can people follow a man, who has gone back on his single promise to them. He is a liar and a spin merchant. He is worse than Blair. The only reason I can now see for being part of the Tories, is to undermine him and make him fail.

I totally agree about MP's, but for MEP's they could have a real chance of taking a stand and winning relection with a reformed UKIP.
Step one is to attract the grassroots, the members and activists. UKIP has a long, long way to go, even with progressive change to appeal to a standing mp. However, the internal change must come first before we can even begin to dream of that day when an MP could consider defecting and retaining their seat. |

I agree that we are along way from attracting any mps to our party.
But if I was a tory eu sceptic and was having to sit with the EPP for another 3 years I would be extremlly embarassed. Their only option is to join UKIP now then they will 3 years to help us broaden our policies and ensure that they are re-elected under a UKIP banner. Nigel is looking for a 100% increase in meps after the 2009 euro elections we must move fast if we are to achieve this. Just a question too why is Daniel Hannan still with the tories surely he would be much more at home with UKIP |

Well he said he was going to leave if they didn't pull out, so now we will find what kind of substance he really is made of. I hope he doesn't do a Cameron and prove to be a liar.
I am sure he would be a welcome addition to UKIP and that he would have a real chance of retaining his MEP status, if that is what he wants in a future election. He could chose to be an independent, afterall, Ashley Mote still seems to have some effect in that role.
