DCB has kindly agreed to answer questions for UKIPHome. His email response came just a few hours after I sent the mail, very similar to the speed of senior Tories aware of the importance of timely replies. Compare that to Richard, who three weeks after sending him a mail, I am yet to receive a response of any form. Very poor. I'll be submitting the questions over the weekend and hopefully publishing the responses next week. I remain very impressed. |

Hi John,
Yes I sent an email (to his personal email and ukip wales addresses) on June 27th requesting a UKIPHome interview but received no reply. As I noted, DCB's reply was within hours. Very professional and impressive. |

I think this is pretty much standard tactics.
Nigel runs on the anti-EU pressure gorup ticket, harvesting those votes (with maybe a few taken by David Noakes) DCB, Nigels wingman, goes in and attacks the area that the only competition for Nigel is standing on. Either DCB hit's Ski's vote enough to help Nige win, or he actually wins himself (Nigels preference I would imagine, thus the much better website). It's a tag team effort to maintain the status quo.

DCB has my vote.
Nigel has done a great deal for UKIP and for our cause more generally. But he is yesterday's man. Bromley proved that. We don't need any more 3rd places, and as Goethe rightly pointed out, "to do the same thing and expect a different result is a sign of madness". We need new blood at the top, and everything I have heard from DCB so far makes sense to me. [/i] |

Yes its exactly what a lot of us have been calling for, for some time.
However, I treat it as I would have if Tony Blair had released it for his fourth term manifesto (don't rule it out). DCB has the (un)forunate position of having a track record to be judged on. If he was a new guy, with no baggage, I may have given him a chance. I think his manifesto is very good and shows he has been listening. That being the case, as chirman why has sod all of this happened already? Why does he take Nigels side in all arguments? Why does he send snotty emails to people, that would not look out of place in a school playground? Sorry, I see this for exactly what it is. A cynical attempt to ensure a pro-cabal candidate remains at the helm. BTW I still think Nigel will win anyway, but this will take some of Richardski's thunder, just as planned. These guy's are very good at keep UKIP exactly where they (and probably others) want it.
