DCB also says:
Quote:
Does the Party wish to stay as it is – small, single issue focused, doing well in Euro elections, occasionally making a lot of noise, with one regular face, but not achieving enough credibility or success in British domestic politics ?
Tell me how this is at all compatible with Nigel's view of the party? He is totally rubbishing Nigel's "one regular face" party brand.

I would like the opportunity to succeed Roger Knapman. Roger has steered UKIP to its most successful period, and deserves huge credit for our 2.6 million votes in 2004. He is a decent, loyal, hardworking, generous, humorous man who showed deeply held principles over Maastricht. I want Roger to continue working alongside me.
Oh peleeeze. Not Knapman again. He is one of the reasons we have been floundering since the EU election.

Knapman hardworking
, eh, pardon?? he came to our St. George's Day Celebration, Linda Guest our candidate, rode through the streets of Bridport and we gave out balloons and leaflets etc, pushing the party. Knapman did nothing, ZILCH. I don't know why he bothered coming. He didn't make any effort to meet people, all he did was saunter down to the local butchers and buy a couple of lbs of sausages, then join us for lunch.

I've read DCB's pdf manifesto on the way home, 3 times, and I must say that I am genuinely impressed and perhaps even a touch excited. This is a professional, progressive, small government agenda.

I smell a winner.

This is clearly not a two horse race. DCB is both a quality candidate like Nigel, and is offering what Richard is seeking to offer but with the detail, experience and quality that is sadly lacking in Richard.

I simply do not know who those of you who have embraced Richard could fail to see that DCB is a higher quality candidate offer the change you have craved.

As you know I preferred a high quality candidate with little agenda over a lower quality candidate with some agenda but DCB meets both these criteria.

Richard supporters, please, as objectively as you can, tell me what richard is offering that DCB is not? Richard is clearly an inferior DCB choice.

For me this web site is the most hopeful sign that UKIP can be united and has a future.

I just don't get it. If he and Nigel are so close, why are they both standing? Why hasn't Nigel stood down to endorse DCB?
DCB is standing to go head to head with Richard.

Farage knows that his supportis pretty polarised - some people would vote for him come what may, others would never vote for him. There are some in between who may waver but not so many.

Nigel realises that the real opposition is Richard - wider vision, business like etc etc, hence DCB aims to take some of that vote. In early august (or possibly just in time to make it into indie news, if I was a real cynic) one will stand down for the other, I would think.

That's right, anyone can stand down at any time they choose to.

That is what will happen,I have said so ever since DCB threw his hat in the ring.

The 10 July date was only for redeeming your deposit if you pulled out by 5pm on that date.(Like Del did).

Well I hope Nigel does stand down. It would match the solution proposed by Anthony and the other Richard supporters that Nigel is best in Brussels, and it would allow DCB to grow the UK side.

Surely this must get you excited? That is one very positive, promising small government agenda from a candidate with the political weight and experience to compete equally with the other leaders.

The incumbent cabal will have won and still have control if DCB wins this election.

That was the plan all along, bring in DCB,let him stand for Leader, along with NF,If either one wins they still hold the Party and the direction it will follow for four more years.

Farage wins,DCB is installed as the Deputy Leader, running the UK side and NF continuing to do as he presently is.

DCB wins,he is the Leader and NF carries on doing exactly as he wants to.

Too easy really when you think about it all.

However, there is still quite a while to go yet so get scheming and electioneering while you all can,I would.

PS.Chad,I'm surprised that you would become so excited and totally commited to someone after reading something they had put together to get people excited and totally commited about them,if you know what I mean.

Hartlepool, quality jumps out and grabs you.

I knew nothing about the guy, but that 24 page manifesto told me everything I needed to know to be sure that he is the quality change candidate to take ukip forward.

Cut the conspiracy theories. Richard simply is not close to being the quality to be leader.

The negative, conspiracy mind-set it holding ukip back as much if not more than poor leadership.
