I agree eublues, and thanks for the hustings report, and confirms my initial reading that Richard is ok, but not leadership quality.

Treading water is not good but it is better than collapse. I really do not think ukip will collapse under Nigel, but I can obviously see like others why it may not move forward by Nigel's steam alone.

Nigel brings in the money, brings in the press which are vital. Surely we should bring the missing ingredient, change, as our contribution?

We should be looking at ourselves as much as the new leader to move ukip forward.

Surely none of the hustings should have been held until all members had received their ballot papers and knew who was standing with their manifestos.

Default Hustings

Why dont members think things through?
Nigel Farage is according to his own website working his hardest for the Party,in Brussels,on the media and meeting donors(more on this below)
We presume he is working 100%. Yet he is now standing for Leader and has specifically promised to carry on doing all that he does and do the Leaders job as well.Actually he said he wants to appoint someone else unknown to do much of the Leaders role. So not only does he consider the leadership role something to be fitted in between Brussels activities and press conferences but how can the Returning Officer even allow him to stand when he has clearly said he will not do the leaders job. A decent Returning Officer should disqualify him.
As for his Lord Cashpoint activities, despite the dangers enveloping Blair and despite the fact that he is suppposed to running for Leader he revels in his cashpoint activity. Does he not begin to understand that this is not the Leader,'s role? But then he does not want to be a real Leader as we know from the above.
