I haven't seen anything which suggests that Richard is "a Farage Supporter". I thought we agreed that there has to be a change in the Leadership. Who else is standing who would be a strong Leader? I cannot think of anyone better than Richard.

Bob Neill, Conservative: 11,621
(-11.11% from 2005) Ben Abbotts, Liberal Democrat: 10,988 (+17.52%) Nigel Farage, UKIP: 2,347 (+4.88%) Rachel Reeves, Labour: 1,925 (-15.57%) Ann Garrett, Green: 811 (-0.39%) I don't know and I don't really care if, as BBC political interviews this morning, these results are claimed to be a wake up call for the Conservatives. As sure as anything they should be a huge clarion call for UKIP, unless we really are very, very deaf. UKIP 8.48% not good enough. We must get our message across, which is something we are not doing in General and by elections. That is we are failing to attract customers. We must realize that current leadership has not got UKIP message across to the electorate and for as long as navel gazing is the style we never will. This Leadership contest should be seized as the (last?) chance to effect change. |
