ukiphome.com will go properly live in time for the by-election but is online now.
It has already caused a bit of a fuss on conservativehome on this thread. Obviously I'd like as many ukippers as possible to help out and submit links etc to get the site going. Learning the lesson of anonymous trolls on conhome, I am checking the identity of registrants to keep disruption down, by charging a one-off £1.00 fee. All fees will be donated to ukip, it is just to enable me to help keep the site running smoothly. The aim is to focus primarily on the wider issues, away from the eu to help broaden our thoughts on the issues that will need to be addressed to bring in new members. |

I'm not verifying party membership, but personal details. The site is open to people from all parties who may be interested in a progressive ukip.
The £1 just enables me to know the real name of the person who registers. |

Don't we already have a type of UKIP HOME - this very forum?
Doesn't cost £1 to use - everybody is free to say what they want and get their feelings and ideas off their chests! Why do we need yet another site? |

You're quite right BB. ukip certainly hasn't got room for any more members as the current strategy has achieved all its goals, so it is not worth trying new ways to get some in and expand the party into a parliamentary force.
I can only apologise for wasting your time! chikrodah, Yes it's far from foolproof but is aimed at reducing disruption and it raises a few quid for ukip. |
