That's exactly right Richard.
And just to be serious for a moment, I only realised the site was needed when Anthony Butcher himself confirmed that this site is not aimed at promoting ukip. Those were Anthony's own words last week. So it got me thinking that ukip could do with an independent but clearly supportive site with links, articles and interviews like conHome. I wanted to create a positive, progressive site that is seeking to do just that. |

I would think very carefully about this; are you really suggesting that you're going to consider banning people based on the credit/debit card details supplied to WorldPay? Have you registered with the Data Protection people? If WorldPay supply you with the names/addresses of those who've paid through their facility, then you need to store them in case you need to take action against individuals in the future. Whether you store it by paper or electronic means, that makes you a Data Controller and liable to furnish details of all data held for any individual. If WorldPay don't supply you with those details, how are you going to verify the applicants? There are a lot of people out there who are justifiably wary about using the Internet for any type of financial transaction. It seems self-defeating to set up a mechanism that may deter the very people it wants to attract. |

Get over it chik.
It is a simple measure to reduce disruption. And yes, there will be a full privacy policy when the site goes fully live during the week. If you don't want to join. Don't. Simple. Such negativity! No wonder the party is having difficulty moving forwards. Quote:

What question? People register on the site. Registration details are stored and not shared. That is it. Just like registering for any site that asks for your name and address. The details are validated by passing them through a credit card payment system. Far from foolproof, but a simple measure to reduce disruption. That's it I'm afraid.
Some people certainly like to look for the negative side in anything. It is simply a measure to stop anonymous trolls disrupting the site. BB, we're not going to get on, that's fine. I'm sure that causes no pain to either of us! |
