I've just recieved a letter from Roger with details about the Bromsgrove election - with a slip asking me to donate [more] money. The Independence arrived in the same post. It kicked off with a complaint about 'lack of funds'.
At a local branch meeting 50% (or 13) members present had access to the Internet. All agreed that it would be preferable to receive information from the Party as an electronic copy - if this would save the Party money. Do the maths : 20,000 members * 28p for stamp = £56,000 or 10,000 members by email = effectively free. + 10,000 * 28p for a stamp [for offline members] = £28,000 The point about electronic copy has been repeatedly made - it isn't rocket science. Is it right to keep asking the membership for money because you basically can't get yourselves organised properly? Having said that I am thankfull for the information and the Independence is well produced. I just wish that I could email an attached copy to all my friends. |

Yes, I think its an idea that should be looked into. Apart from stamps, there is also the cost of printing. The mailing itself announced that it had in total cost around £20,000, no small amount for a party the size of ours!

I would happily accept all further communications via email.
Why not give me the option?

Lets face it the organisation within UKIP is very poor. Its run by technophobes with a with a 1970's management style who are trying to convince us that their fit to manage the worlds third largest economy in the 21st centuary. Lol. You wouldnt even get away with running a modern company in such a hapeless fashion - a performance incidentally which is disrespectful to the efforts and generousity of the ordinary member.
How about starting by applying some of the wonderful idea's UKIP has about running the country to organising the Party? |

It is unbelieveable how after 10 years or more UKIP is so badly organised. Of course e-mail should be used in preference to hard copy. This lack of administrative organisation doesn't say much for those in charge of UKIP does it.
