Default Geoffrey Kingscott resigns

The Way we Live Now column in the FT, p. 16:
Quote:
There have been months of near tranquillity for Ukip, so a public row in the eurosceptic party was long overdue. Geoffrey Kingscott, general secretary, has obliged by resigning in frustration at having his authority undermined. Last October Petrina Holdsworth, the chairman, quit after a leading MEP accused her of talking "a load of ****". Before that, of course, Robert KILROY-SILK (Ind.), chat-show host turned wannabe world leader, also left in a huff, calling the party "a joke" run by a "self-serving cabal"… Kingscott, a retired linguist, will have plenty to occupy his time. Having penned The Railways of Nottinghamshire and Last Train from Trent Station (not a thriller), he is now working on Lost Railways of Leicestershire and Rutland. Can't wait.

And UKIP thinks it is going to win Bromley with all this floating around about its MEPs?

GK's resignation is yet another casuality of UKIP's lack of structure, orbat and proper chain of command. Until this is sorted UKIP will sadly not be as effective as it should be in getting us to leave the EU.

And NF wants to leave what he loftily dismisses as "administration" in the present hands.

Tell me about it this sums up the main reason UKIP is not as effective as it should be. I believe if NF becomes leader he will appoint a friendly new Chairman who will try and run things on his behalf. This will a be a recipe for stagnation and a SE centric focus to maintain NF's power base. What we need is a leader to work with the members to improve things. A person who puts the Party above his own ego.

WHERE IS THAT MAN/WOMAN?

I'm pretty choked up that the papers are showing interest in our internal affairs again.

Perhaps we are passed the being ignored stage.
