Default Last week's UKIP website releases (not newspaper articles)

This excludes copying newspaper articles.

The previous week's list was

Quote:
17 UKIP Annnouces that it will not stand in Blaenau Gwent by-election

18 A Big Thank You to Andrew Smith

18 Strasbourg 15th - 18th May 2006

18 "Haven't got the faintest idea" says immigration official

18 Tom Wise slams European Court ruling on healthcare

18 Graham Booth MEP attacks the EU for politicising disaster relief

19 The EU rapes the seas
Last week (21-27 May) we had

22 UKIP Chairman slams the country's immigration policy

23 South East Summer Rally

If you're being generous you could include

24 Lord Tebbit thinks Britain should leave the EU

I will continue to monitor this hyperactivity.

You watch. In the few weeks before the leadership elections there'll be a flurry of stuff: just like in the weeks before the NEC elections and before conference.

Sorry, our huge staff of 2 will instantly stop work on the Bromley by-election in order to counter the latest batch of conspiracy theories.

Rgds

Your shortage of staff "trump-card" is long out of date and in tatters because of the number of times you've used it.

I think the UKIP Press Office should be heavily reprimanded or even closed down for lack of input/output. ops:

4th party in British Politics?

Mark, can't you get some volunteers "trained up" to look after the task of putting relevant comment out as press releases or web updates? It might make the public feel UKIP gives a toss about running Britain.

I understand this doesn't mean total control as it means trusting and relying on other members, but the party is getting an utter shoeing from other parties with less members at the moment.

If you advertised such a position (unpaid) in independent news, I bet you would get a group of people whose sole focus would be giving UKIP a boost in promotion of the party. You would maintain editorial control and all the people who think it's pretty important for a political party to talk politics whould STFU. If no-one volunteered, then you would then have a valid reason to poke down the moaners (I like to call them concerned members) throats.

2 people, who have to do other jobs other than just getting UKIP media coverage is simply inadequate for a party of UKIP's size. You take it as attacks on your own work rate, which is not the case, it is underesourcing that is clearly the problem. However, if the situation is allowed to go on forever, then people will question your judgement in ever harsher terms.

Yep - close down another office, why not?
Close down everything which is useful then you'd have even more about which to complain but unfortunately you'd not have a target for your complaints.

Do you have any idea what Mark's diary/work schedule is like?

Perhaps you might care to offer Mark a helping hand instead of criticising an operation of which it appears you have little knowledge or understanding.

That's one reason why I proposed a decentralised UKIP press office in my specimen leadership manifesto.

Intbel,My comments and suggestions are exactly how I see the situation within the UKIP PO for a few years now.

The same comments should be passed on to the people above the PO employees to demonstrate that some Members are sick to death of the same excuses,no funds, lack of manpower and so on.

If our PO is really constantly short of these things that they claim then why not pass their complaints about workloads and/or of funds to the very people who run the Party and expect results.

As for myself,I have always done enough within UKIP to feel good about myself and those efforts, that is why I will continue to work for the Party, unlike some,I will contiue working unpaid.

Semper Fidelis!
