Default Petrina is UKIP's only option.

Petrina may have resigned as Party Chairman but I believe she had no choice. Resigning is an honourable thing to do. Petrina now wants to return to UKIP as its leader and carry on from where she left off to restore probity and lead us back to our task of leaving the EU.

How anyone in UKIP, I name no names, can belive she could reisgn the chairmanship for her stated reasons, and then remain on the NEC or continue to chair the conference beggers belief!
Far better for all that she went away and let tempers cool down.
Good luck, Petrina!

Petrina resigned as the chairman of the NEC. She did so because of a disagreement with the Deputy Leader of the time.
She did not have to do this.
She could have remained as chairman with her authority intact.

Petrina resigned from the NEC itself. This was unnecessary. She had already resigned from the chairmanship of the NEC.

Petrina refused to chair the Conference which was only a few weeks away. It was unnecessary; she did not have to do this. It caused the party extreme embarassment.

Does this indicate good political judgement and behaviour in the the best interests of the party?

It isn't RocketScience.

I agree entirely with RocketScience. Petrina not only resigned, but she resigned once, decided to retract her resignation and then resigned again!

If she didn't have the man-management and political skills to deal with that situation, then what on earth makes her think she can deal with the situations she will encounter as Party Leader. How do we know that she won't get into another situation like that and resign as Party Leader after a few months?

I certainly won't be voting for her.

Will anyone who knows him please get Dick Horsnell to put himself forward as a candidate. He has done marvellously in Lincolnshire and has the strength of character to make a good Party Leader. He might even be able to keep our Nigel in check. If you're reading this Nigel, I still love you - I think you're a marvellous speaker and campaigner, but I don't want you as Party Leader.

If you were subject to abusive emails from a colleague when you were UN-PAID would sit there and take the abuse or resign.
I would certainly not put up with it in a paid postion let alone un paid.

If, as is alleged, Roger refused to back her ( ), then she had no option.
Get Real.
