I am largely neutral on the issue. I didn't take part in the decision, and I can only pass on what I have heard. I don't think that there was a conspiracy to close Ashford at all, but I do think that the regionalisation of UKIP won't have helped.

I am deeply concerned that during an election period, when thousands of leaflets are going out and potential new members could be trying to call in, that stories of no one being home are being reported back.
All leaflets promoting candidates at local elections should have a local contact phone number, address and email. Therefore the Ashford Office is irrelevant.

In an ideal world, yes.

Some areas can't afford leaflets, so are putting out generic ones, or even stuff they have left over from the GE.

Some will say they may as well not bother, I could not possibly comment.

C steam - no I am not an employee of Ashford call Centre thank you very much why do you persume everything? I am a social worker and I live in Surrey not as its any of your bussiness. You know you really should try and get some facts right occasionally. I just liked everybody I dealt with at Ashford and I think that would has been said on this forum is horrible and I am think it is a big mistake closing down ashford they were all very professional and knowledgeable. YOU NEED TO GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

Call Ashford - enlighten yourselves.
No-one has called Ashford to find out what is what - they cast judgements and make accusations and give all sorts of theories - based on what?

Call Ashford.

Sheesh! And folks call me a conspiracy theorist!
At least I do my research ... you folks won't even make a phone call!

Gosh - how terrible of me. The fact that you all had the same I/P address led me down the path of that incorrect assumption. My apologies.

It's none of our business, indeed. So why are you telling us? And are you always this rude?

They were not facts. They were presumptions, which were incorrect as stated above, therefore cannot be facts by deduction.

They're nice, we're horrible. A bit simplistic, don't you think? Could you try a little bit more logical analysis next time, if you can stretch to it.

Possibly. Regretfully though many business decisions are made on factors that have nothing to do with the niceness or skill or whatever of the staff. I have nothing but sympathy for those who lost their jobs.

Which facts would they be then - or would they, in reality, be your opinion?
Please differentiate. If nothing else, it will make taking the p*** out of you easier.

On the other hand you could be more constructive and less aggressive and you never know, we might get on.

Sorry C steam don't know what you mean about I/P address are you TRYING to be clever again, as you are just acting like an pratt, you are one of the reasons I would not be renewing memberships or even voting ukip again not when there are nasty pieces of work like you in the party. Have you phoned up Ashford to ask about their accounts by the way? I did and I believe they are the only ones with audited accounts which are do by an outside party, they made more money FOR the party than any other branch and they were self funding. Why has their been such a witch hunt for Ashford anyway?

C steam take the **** as much as you like you are obvioulsy a sad lonely pratt with far to much time on your hands
