Aw ... it's of little consequence.
If it means folks think more carefully before they write it can only be a good thing.

Also - it prevents the record being altered ... should a record be needed for future reference..

Not that the record bit bothers me much. If I want to keep something, whether a single post or an entire thread, I copy it onto another website, intact.

Hartlepool ever thought of approaching the BNP or the Labour Party or the Conservatives or Respect and offering your services to them on a paid basis to spoil the chances of hard working and decent UKIP candidates from being elected, like you seem to be doing such a good job on this website [ that is if anbody thought you represent what UKIP stands for], it would seem a shame on your part not to get paid for your very professional efforts at ruining UKIP's image and God knows the like of the Conservatives and Labour could do with the help.
