Default New UKIP Party Treasurer wanted - click here to apply

From the official UKIP website:

UKIP Party Treasurer Steps Down

13-04-2006

The appointment of the Party Treasurer becomes due at the next NEC meeting and Andrew Smith has decided not to continue.

UKIP Party Leader, Roger Knapman MEP said: “I would like to thank Andrew very much for the tremendous work he has put in during his tenure and the personal time he has sacrificed. He has proved to be a great asset to the Party, with his assiduous attention to detail and his painstaking maintenance of vital records”.

We are now looking for a new Party Treasurer and would anyone interested in this post please apply to Geoffrey Kingscott (gensec@ukip.org) as soon as possible.

The role of Honorary Treasurer is one of the most important and challenging of posts. It requires considerable knowledge of accounting, a legalistic mind and infinite patience.

Apart from the obvious financial responsibilities, the Party Treasurer is responsible for ensuring the Party complies with the requirements of the Electoral Commission and the laws that govern Parties and elections.

Ideally an experienced chartered accountant should fill this post  .

I hope Robin Collett recovers to full health and applies for this post.

Robin - if you should happen to read this - I wish you all the best!
Do what the doc says - take it easy, full rest for a few months.

Take care ...
