I do think it is a far more modern, racier logo than our old one, but that doesn't mean the hierachy think the same!
I don't believe it would cost a lot at Branch Level to change as we in Cardiff do not have hundreds of letterheads already printed to go out. We tend to print as required so that would be no problem. However HO might be different, although it could possibly slowly change the logo over a period of possibly twelve months as the old leaflets etc get used. Something nobody has mentioned is the cost of UKIP changing it's logo with the Electoral Commission, though I myself, have no idea how much this would cost. Unfortunately, as with everything about UKiP, it is all about MONEY, or rather, the lack of it. Could the cost be put to better use somewhere else? |

I think the Logo could be phased in at very little if any cost, I wouldn’t recommend scrapping any material that has been printed just recommend that from a certain date any new material printed should carry the new logo. I think the benefits will be in the marketing of Ukip, most companies now days pay a lot of attention to aesthetics and spend thousands on making products more appealing to the eye. No one is saying people would vote Ukip because of the logo but if something is more eye catching or portrays a modern image people are more likely to read it. If that isn’t the case why don’t we just print all of our materials in black and white? And why does my wife change the colour scheme in our house every few years  |

I agree with that. The initials UKIP mean nothing to the broad mass of millions of voters and 'floating' voters.
As for the logo, the the modern one designed so well by Intbel looks much better. However, those that want the Pound symbol dropped as the UKIP party logo altogether should remember that another anti-EU party might try and use it instead. The Popular Alliance political party (which will be eurosceptic in policy formation) has just been formed and will probably be looking for a new logo right now. I don't think much of the logos of most of the other parties. Most of their logos are forgettable . |
