Default Two recommended campaign websites

http://www.saveparliament.org.uk/ - specifically, save it from the Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill - "Do you like living in a democracy?Well, enjoy it while you can, because it might not last much longer if the UK government get their way."

http://www.votersrevolt.org.uk/ - a much wider campaign - "born out of deep anger and frustration at a political establishment which over the decades has increasingly treated the British public with contempt .... It explains how our democracy is being eroded - and spells out how together we ordinary people can halt the slide INTO phpbb_bureaucratic tyranny."

Do support the Save Parliament campaign, otherwise in future, all power will be in the hands on ministers.

PS one of the reasons that Labour want the bill is faster implementation of EU law.

We really should be linking hands with other groups which are opposed to the Leglislative and Reg .Reform Bill. For some extraordinary reason we appear quite content to rage against the excesses of the EU`s powers but fail to grasp the nettle about domestic matters.

This is a major step towards tyranny which Parliament is failing to protect us from and UKIP has done nothing to openly oppose it.

Why not?

I can see that there is no harm in Roger Knapman expressing support for these people, to try to restore some democracy to our political system, but I have concers that thes days people set up websites and then go away again with no real political activity to back it up There is any amount of websites about this and that which have no effect at all. It would be more effective if we were all to write to our MPs* whether New Labour or Blue Labour and get them to do something. Even though we all vote UKIP they are there to represent the whole town: not just the estate agents/social workers who campaigned for them. If they say 'oi' to Tone and 'Call-me-Dave' they have to take more notice than of websites.

Petrina- I absolutely agree with your post above.
Forget the EU for a minute, this L & R Reform bill is one of the most dangerous Bills ever presented and it looks as if is going through without a murmer. The protests from UKIP are deafening with their silence.
I assume that UKIP has heard of this Bill :?:

I agree also. We have to sort out our domestic difficulties and get rid of this Government.
