We, UK are facing an energy shortfall. We already import.
Fossils are finite and polluting. How do we resolve the impending crisis ? I'm new here, so I don't know if this topic has already been covered in any depth. |

As I keep saying, nuclear for power stations, hydrogen for vehicles.

Stop increasing the number of consumers artificially.
Nuclear for now, but open to broad range of energy contributions, including all the renewables that can contibute.

1. Nuclear power at present accounts for about 20% of UK power. This is set to fall as the aging power stations are taken out of service and none new being built, nor even planned. 2. For various technical reasons, not more than about 15-20% of our power can come from sources that are variable e.g. wind, solar etc. What concerns me is that there appears to me no cohesive policy to address that already exists and is growing. |
