Default M6 Toll Road Extension

I oppose the M6 Toll road extension.

We do not want a new toll road destroying the English countryside.

I do not see the need to widen the M6 at that point at all, I have travelled on that stretch of road and do not find it unduly congested. But even if the M6 were to be widened it should be out of government funds, what do people pay their motoring taxes for.

I would say that UKIP should not have a view one way or the other on issues such as this. UKIP should support a policy framework that deals with such issues.

UKIP should perhaps support reform of the planning system such that more powers are deveolved to local areas. UKIP certainly will need to develop 'green' and sustainable planning polices to fit in with the UKIP 'green' agenda. This may well mean UKIP would be against the road by default.

Exactly the opposite. We should oppose this and all similar schemes.

Oppose it. Make the suggestion of ditching the current policy of unstainable population increases, that is helping cause traffic to spiral in the first place.

Hmmm... My neck of the woods.

It's pointless. The problems are caused by the M5 junction at one end and the viaduct at the other, not by the bit of road in between.
