Please visit my site at www.kuukip.bravehost.com. I am the President and founder of Keele UKIP. I get alot of stick here for being UKIP. Is really hard especially when im a 1st year but still manage to create a society. In january, we have re-freshers fair. I have a stall booked for KuUKIP. Its going to be very wierd being a fresher but on the otherside of the table and getting people to join my society instead of looking at societies I should join. I have also just had alot of critisism in the local press for me falling INTO phpbb_the 'wrong' crownd since being at Keele. Well, I created that crowd in Keele and also I have been a UKIP supporter for 4 years.
I managed to organise the visit of Mike Nattrass for last Thursday. It went very well. Let me know what you think of the my website and also any tips on how I should run the society. Any other useful information is also greatly appreciated. Thanks. Wayne |

My advise my friend would be this.....
Do what me and my house mates did at uni - get a map of europe, some coloured pins, work out the base rules... and work your way round the women of the continent.... if Keele has an ERASMUS that'll be good place to start.... and don't get a long term GF... tis both a mistake and missed opertunity! - it's all about being a good ambassidor to the country! Sadly I finished uni in sept and have already got my first student loan demand letter through so enjoy it while it lasts! - as per the website..... My opinion is. 1) change the hit counter so it's only on the first page... if you want an accuate count of visitors then having it on every page will distort. 2) Take the keele logo off (unless you have permission). Uni's tend not to like being affiliated with political groups. 3) not too sure about the host, it seems very slow and the banners aren't great thing. Do you have free hosting with your ISP? 4) Maybe have an events page? 5) Change the image of you and knapman... or rather rename it so there's no spaces. Some browers can't cope with spaces in the file names. 6) I must admit I probably wouldn't put my mobile number on the site... you never know what weirdo could surf on in.... 7) Maybe put a page title in (between the title tags) Apart from that though seems good.... Looking at the code it seems to have been built in dreamweaver so there shouldn't be any markup issues. Hope this helps... and although I'm at a completly different side of the political spectrum... good luck at the freshers fare. It takes a lot of guts - especially as students are much less inward looking (and also less political) then the typically much older average UKIP convert! |

I thought about going to Keele Uni to study Politics, was a bit far removed though. What's it like up there?

Hi, Wayneanthonyharding.
Glad to see you hit the ground running. So, you have fallen in with the 'wrong' crowd have you, tsk tsk !! I suspect the label 'wrong' is applied to anyone who dares to question the current pro EU, pro Political Correctness menshavick b******t that infests our society, and especialy our seats of learning. I supose you know all about the EU funding of certain Chairs at universities, as long as they support the pro EU line. If you want a good laugh read 'Europe's Full Circle' by Rodney Atkinson (the book won't make you laugh - it'll make you angry) and quote it to people who label you as 'wrong'. I love asking supporters of the EU how long they have backed, supported and voted for the policies of German 1940s National Socialism. Most of them don't realise where the roots of the current EU lie. Have fun at Uni 8) |
