When I eventually go to Uni and form my UKIP Society, I may be seen as some as a outcast for my eurospectic nationalist views, but that would make me more determined.

What university are you thinking of studying at? Im affaid for the time being, a Eurosceptic and also being more caring about the national interests of the UK than those of the EU will make you a political outcast at first. Many people are gona laugh at you as they have with me but imagine what a bully is like. Bullies are insecure within themselves and very self-consious who will try to hide their insecurity by attacking someone else. In the case of British politics, Labour, Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats are the bullies who are always trying to put UKIP down. Are they affraid of UKIP or insecure about it? They should be worries about the fastest growing party in British politics. Do you agree?

They won't laugh when they hear how much they have to pay towards implementing the crazy directives coming in from the EU.

Down in the garbage

Ruminating, as one does, about the piece I posted last night, the full enormity of the cost of the EU's recycling directives is sinking in.

Any which way you cut it, £10 billion is a lot of money and to find that simply to provide the infrastructure to comply with EU law knocks INTO phpbb_a cocked hat the idea that we are an independent nation. There is no way our cash-strapped government would spend that sort of money unless it was forced to and, since most of the money will have to come out of Council Tax, one cannot imagine any government voluntarily loading such huge extra costs onto local authorities.

Yes the EU does cost the UK tax payer billions of £. I heard in some statistics that it is close to £30Billion before the new budget deal was made. But many people will still believe the lies from the LIBLABCON. Refference to recent European parliment debate, Blair mentioned "it is 2005, not 1945" He is is clearly saying here that European integration is the cause for peace and stability in Europe in the second half of the 20th Century. So has he disregarded NATO which also includes the most powerful nation in the world, USA. It would be unwise to dismantle NATO for a European only alliance. That would be very foolish. Since 1945 there have still been many wars and conflicts in Europe. The EU did nothing to stop the atrocities in the Balklands on more than one occasion. The EU wants to expand to this region and this region generally feels the same but surely there must have been a way that didnt involve genocide and ethnic cleansing. What has the EU done to implement peace in regions such as Northern Ireland and the Basque regions of Spain.

When you get to uni and start up a UKIP society there, we should a UKIP UNI organisation for all ukip societies in universities. This wouldnt challenge the new YouthKIP at all but more of a process to co-ordinate our efforts. We could orgainise the same meetings and confrenses etc.

Opinions?

Wayne,

Youthkip doesn't exist, the new organisation is imaginatively titled UKIP Youth, and I think (and hope) that that is a working name only. As for what you are proposing, that is exactly what the Old Youthkip was working toward.

However, for reasons that were never shared with me, we were in due course refused so much as a mention at the NEC meeting that decided that UKIP Youth be established, when we had already been the de facto Youth Group for 4 months.

Hi Wayne.

Thought I'd come and join the fun. Nice work on the website and society.

I don't share the same enthusiasm for Keele having been here for almost five years, running a few student societies, having to change courses, academic disputes... You know the whole thing about knowing a place TOO well?!

Anyway, that's just me! I hope you and everyone else is having a ball!

And don't be too harsh on Owen! He's doing his best to get students interested in non-Labour politics and stiring things up a bit!
