Default KuUKIP

Over at Keele, Labour and the Socialists are very different. They are a completely different organisation. Although there are still plenty of old Labour hanging about all disgruntled that they dont like new labour.

The head of Conservative future wants a meeting with me after Christmas. He wants some sort of coalition in the student union. You see, I was elected onto the student representative council at the begining of the semester before they knew my affiliation. What do you think I should do. Some sort of coalition on some issues may be beneficial and I could refuse to work with them on other issues. It is very much in my hands as the Conservatives cant implement anything on their own because of the large left wing. I have a few other UKIP secretly in the council and more are coming but not enough to challenge the left on their own. Any advice?

The problem with aligning yourself with the Tories it confirms to a lot of people that we are just a Tory pressure group but as you are the man on the ground you would be the best judge of that.

Coalition? NO WAY - Don't be in the pocket of anyone and you will have difficulty distancing yourself and will be tarred with the same brush.

Tactical voting yes - Tory stooge - NO WAY!

Highlight the hypocrisy of all political parties

Default KuUKIP

I like the idea of tactical voting. I would have to get the Torries to vote for one of my policies before I honour any of their ukip frindly policies so I am never one step behind but instead one step ahead at least half the time if you got me. If they prove unco-operative then they wont be able to pass anything through the council. So I hold all the aces.

I am starting a KuUKIP Christian Soldiers soon which will be a sub-group to KuUKIP. Hopefully this will enable a strong Christian voice to be heard on the council.

Wayne. The Conservative group on the SRC at Keele is the largest group. and they dont need your help to win motions.

Do i sense some internal bitchiness? I wont be putting any money on Keele to win University Challenge this year,at least not while they have a discipline problem!

Default Conservative Future Keele

This is to Mr Meredith and anyone else really.

The Conservative Future is the biggest single group in the SRC but does not hold a majority. I noticed that the motion to remove the no-platform policy failed even with the votes of all the CF members on the SRC and myself. If the Conservative Future in Keele can pass any motion without KuUKIP, why is it that they could not pass your motion to remove the no-platform policy even with my vote.It was strongly voted against. As much as you may like to think, you cant have everything passed on your own. The other motion in the same SRC was the Flag policy. This was proposed and seconded by CF members and only just got passed. The CF is not all powerful if thats what you think.

So much to learn.

I never said we controlled the SRC.

The removal of the no platform policy failed by 3 votes. and 3 CF members didn't vote.

The Con group do not have an overall majority with full council. neither do we claim to, or claim to be "all powerful".
