This is not a UKIP press release :-

The Government is condoning apartheid by effectively re-introducing the colour bar INTO phpbb_British immigration policy, U.K. Independence Party MEP Nigel Farage said today (7.3.06), following the launch of the Government’s new points based immigration system.

Mr Farage said that the exclusion of the 200,000 EU citizens who arrived in the UK each year ‘made a nonsense of the entire system’, and allowed untrammelled white immigration whilst placing serious constraints on non-white immigration from outside the EU.

“The idea of an immigration system which applies only to certain applicants should fill us with horror. The points system of immigration is one which UKIP supports wholeheartedly, but only so long as it applies to all immigrants. It is fundamental in our society that we are all equal before the law, but apparently white, eastern European immigrants are now more equal than black, African ones.

“I find it unbelievable that a Government which contains so many ministers who fought apartheid in South Africa are happy to introduce it in the UK.

“Our nation has historic links with the Commonwealth, and yet now Polish plumbers and Hungarian bricklayers will have an inbuilt advantage over Pakistani doctors and Ghanian nurses. We have always believed that immigration should be decided on the basis of space, not race, and yet clearly neither New Labour nor Blue Labour share this view. UKIP alone believes that we should aim for a fair, points based system which creates net zero immigration: the numbers arriving should equal the number leaving the UK.”

We want zero net immgration, not because we are anti immigrants but because this country is overcrowded.
The average population density of England is twice that of Germany, four times that of the France, and twelve times that of the United States. We are bursting at the seams, with our roads and railways seizing up, our town centres near gridlock, and our social services close to breakdown. Our doctors' surgeries cannot cope and hospital waiting lists are growing.
There are growing water shortages and if the population increases, this will get worse.

Our opponents accuse us of racism, however we are just numerate and do not wish to live in the world's most populated country.

The first bit was a UKIP press release. However the bit that explains why we want the policy, was not there (see the bottom of this post). I nicked it from the five freedoms.
Can you see the difference between the official release and my one ? One has a policy of zero net immigration - no one knows why. The other explains the reasoning for the policy.
Why didn't the official one have this ?
One gives ammo to our critics, one asks them questions.
I agree with UKIP's immigration policy - I don't think that the way it is presented is very good. Does anyone think that it is presented well ?

:-
'We want zero net immgration, not because we are anti immigrants but because this country is overcrowded.

Our opponents accuse us of racism, however we are just numerate and do not wish to live in the world's most populated country.
'
I would also add something like this :-
'The UK has a housing crisis, UKIP can not see how this can be improved without reducing net immigration. If we are wrong, we would love to see proposals of how the current level of immigration can continue and the housing crisis be solved. However the other parties, prefer to call us racist rather than have serious answers to our questions. '

Default Murder press release

This is not a UKIP press release

UKIP condems the report INTO phpbb_the murder of John Monckton.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4757414.stm
A party spokesman says, although we realise that the probabtion service made mistakes.
The problem is that the system believes that someone who was convicted of attempted murder, should be released after a set period of time, whether they are safe or not.

Hanson was released early, however he was going to be released in 6 years time. If he had been kept in prison for 6 years longer, he would not have murdered John Monckton, but probably would have murdered someone else.
We believe that people who commit murder, attempted murder or manslaughter during a robbery or burglary, should only be released if the probabation board can guarantee 100% that they are safe.

A lot of people believe that we are only concerned about the EU and immigration. However, this is not true, we want Britain to have the low crime rates, it had only 40 years ago. One ways, that we will achieve this will be to ensure that people who are dangerous do not re-offend. We have a comprehnsive policy to solve the other parties' failure. Further details are on our website"

Yet another "Not a Press Release"

A prominent UKIP member stated yesterday during an impromtu press conference(Daily Spliff, page three columns 2,3 & 4 (cont. pages 4,5,6,7,8, & 9):

"We propose the immediate return of execution for all heinious crimes.
Such crimes to include, but not necessarily be limited to:
Murder most foul.
Other kinds of murder whether or not they be foul.
Rape (of anyone by anyone whatever the circumstances)
Robbery with violence. (the definition of violence to be re-defined)
All kinds of abuse, whether verbal, drug, (drug abuse to include alcohol abuse but not nicotine abuse) physical, political, emotional, religious/spiritual or material.

"Execution to be carried out by the most economical means available, such as kitchen knives or stoning.

"Once this has been accomplished, we will no longer be permitted to be a member of the E.U.

"Once kicked out of the EU we would abolish the death penalty for all offences except, perhaps, for the offence of inciting political correctness.
We are aware that inciting political correctness is not an offence at this time. That is immaterial - we will make it so."

The full story is no longer available here

Yet another "Not a Press Release"

UKIP has said that the recent hose pipe bans show why it wants to have less new building on the South East.
That is why UKIP wishes to reduce immigration to the UK, most new immigrants live in the south east which can only make the water shortage worse.

*** This is not a UKIP press release **
Part of the solution to the recent report in removing failed Asylum seekers would be to do the following:-
1) Change immigration rules so that illegal immigrants never become legal (at the moment after a few years they can apply for British citizenship).
2) Not let refugees return to their own country on holiday, obviously genuine ones would not be affected. However at the moment fake refugees want to go home on holiday.
3) Don't give refugees permanent rights to stay here, only let them stay while their country is dangerous. After that only refugees who have been net payers to the tax system can stay.
