What is the most obvious and memorable thing about this release?

Ok, I'll tell you. £60 quid has been raised for a good cause within an organisation that spends €200 000 transporting paper back and forth.

Very, very good. It would even be worth Farage nicking the tin himself :wink:

£60 raised by people who have to tell the EU when the money gets up to their bottom lip for fear of drowning, what a bunch. The average man outside Waitrose collects more than this in a day. Maybe the tin was taken about a micro second after being displayed.

£60 is just one days money, I believe they emptied it out at least each day (which is how they guestimated the amount).

Having said that, I don't see a hell of a lot of MEP's rushing to donate to the fund. Some countries won't care and even our own country who has MEP's who would rather spit in the can than be seen to support something UKIP does.

However, I don't see any other options available and there is a leadership election soon.
