I will probably have a go, just for the practice. It isn't often that we get to speak publicly, so we should grab every chance.
I like this idea from Alan Bown. |

I like the idea, but I'm not going in for it.

While a member of Veritas I made the suggestion that local branches should have 'speech making karaoke sessions.' Many people are afraid of public speaking, it is a more common fear than the fear of death. There are ways to overcome it, and one way is to feel the fear and do it anyway. My reasoning was that a grass roots with a high percentage of people who could speak in public, would make the Party a lot stronger. By gradually giving people the chance to speak for just a few mins then build up, would help prepare future leaders. Some people who would never do it, may find they are good at it with practise and encouragement and some training.
My idea was rubbished. I posted it on Talk Veritas though, so that explains it. Christina |

A good starting point is 2 hours in the witness box at any Crown Court - but the dry cleaning bills mount up. I presume the scripts will be provided by Nigel - he won't want anyone saying anything even mildly critical, will he? :?
