As an interested observer, I do think you will avoid unnecessary rows if you change the name. I personally like "Lechlade Group".

What about - and this is quite radical - calling the group the UK Independence Party. As we are already members of UKIP it will save anyone having to write rules and so forth. Why the need to form a separate group which as it is only for members does not need a new name.

I think you have missed the point, rogerthomas.

If you have read the aims for the MA you will see why we should have a seperate group.

there is a lot of people out there that are just using UKIP as a platform for making the tory party change their view on the EU, there are people that will turn back to the tories if they said out of the EU..

we should seperate those people, they cannot become members of the MA.

we want people that are going to promote UKIP for their country and party, not for pressure groups....

why rejoin those old parties?

the tories, labour and lib dems they are all the same only looking out for themselves

if they are against the EU, say it dont think "I will lose my job if i go against the party.

we want people with guts, not **** lickers...

It all started in LECHLADE we called ourselves the LECHLADE Group, we are already known as the LECHLADEGroup within the party so why change the name? If we change it it will be even more confusing for people and I think that even if we do change the name we will still be known and referred to as the LECHLADEGroup.

Sorry me was me being rather thick and being annoyed at the thought of changing a Great name ops:

OK I have now thought for a few minutes how about "The LECHLADE members association!!!!"

There is the LECHLADEgroup who are now well known so to follow them and UKIP there can be an internal members association of the LECHLADE Group called the LECHLADE members association. This cannot be stopped by the powers above (can it?)[/b]
