Is UKIP strong at Universities

I tried to set up a UKIP grouping at my university in leicester, however I didn;t receive much help from the party and to be honest, i dont think they were that interested!

I have no doubt you are right, UKIP have failed in lots of important areas like this. That has to end, and I'm glad that we have Alex on the case. It's going to be tough, but it is essential that we get a strong youth section up and established again.

Maybe with the introduction of Youthkip wristrbands and Youthkip units at unis, UKIP will become strong.

UKIP MEP Derek Clark has been invited to speak at the Durham Union on Friday 10th February next year. They are to debate "This house would halt further European integration". He is to speak in support of course and will be opposed by Baroness Shirley Williams.

I also think that UKIP Leader Roger Knapman has been invited to speak at the Oxford Union fairly soon...... so UKIP is getting INTO phpbb_our Universities.....

And I'm doing a freshers' fair in Gloucestershire University on Friday.
