Youthkip Inaugural Meeting

It is the intention to have an inaugural meeting as soon as possible. We need a few things sorted out though - location and time are the clear problems with a national meeting of a society.

Please feel free to suggest times and places, and anything else about the meeting.

On the Group Information it gives a list of the locations of the group members:

Gloucester
Gloucesteshire
Cheshire
East Midlands
Devon (Tiverton & Honiton)
realwales
Gloucester
Bournemouth

Seeing the places we are from Worcester, Birmingham or Gloucester seem the obvious locations for a meeting.

You should try an have a broadband connected PC hooked up, so that you could teleconference in people from afar using SKYPE.

There are various pubs etc in this area that have wireless internet hotspots. Don't know what it is like your way!

@Matt, nah I don't much like teleconferencing. It's good for businesses but I want members of youthkip to get to know one another in a comfortable environment, face to face.

Yes getting to know people and inspiring or at least enthusing them is the point of meetings.

Adminy stuff is best done via email or this forum.

Teleconferencing can be frustrating if it goes wrong - though I've only done it once

I was thinking about Birmingham. It's about equi-distant from each of the places where we are currently and wouldn't be too hard for anyone in particular I don't think.
