To be quite honest B.A. if it hadn't been for this forum & our website, I wouldn't have been aware (sorry for the pun) that a petition was in circulation.
Anyone not connected with UKIP in any way, would know nothing at all about any petition.
Here in Cardiff we have seen and heard absolutely nothing in the newspapers,TV, radio etc etc re:any petition. I know the Ashes victory was the main story in the past week but down this way - absolutely zilch.
Let's hope ther is a surge of publicity in the near future

Thats a very Good point komerad, in my offices (approx 30 people) no one has even heard of the petition and one of my close associates who is politically minded had not heard of it.

Was it actually in the papers at all, as promised?

Default "Let the people decide"

"Come on guys"
Whinge! whinge! as a comparatively newcomer to the forum, I am rather concerned how disenchanted some of you are. Anthing and any effort however small, which in anyway leads us towards ridding our country of the evil and corrupt European Union has to be worth the effort.
If a decision is made at the top as to the way forward whether we agree or dis-agree the ultimate aim, we hope,is the same
I have petitioned on the street and delivered door to door for about five years,as the need has arisen.
We all know this encourages one to one contact and is invaluable.
I agree the recent"let us have our say" seems to lack a bit of punch, but should we give up on it, or give it a crack.
As a matter of interest I have ust returned from "Trago Mills" (out of town shopping complex) at Newton Abbot where in two hours I collected 150 signatures. No doubt others are doing likewise.
