Merry Christmas......

Hi,

every year I send about 3,000 christmas cards (the majority hand delivered I hasten to add) and last year I had them specially printed. It was a naff design of Christamas bells but was the best I could get at the time. I'd like to do the same this year so am planningh ahead (unusual for UKIP I know) and looking for a simple cartoon design to use. The design needs to combine Christmas, UKIP, anti-EU mesage and be able to be printed in one colour on white or cream card A5 with one fold.

I did think something like Santa Claus on his sleigh being pulled over by an EU Commissioner for infringing some regulation or other, Sorry Father Christmas you can't drive that sleigh without completing an EU/Rev111232/98 Permit, or somethiong like that?

Better, funnier ideas appreciated.....there are usually no shortage of comments on this forum so come on all you budding cartoonists or satirists.....

Without wanting to sound like a moaner (as normal). Is the plan for UKIP to shout anti-EU at every opportunity for ever more?

Why not have suitably tinted reindeer with Santa saying "on cupid, on mustafa, on dingus, on chi-li - or something - with a text explaining they are PC ethnically representative reindeer?

That might upset the SWP etc and give the Guardian another reason to bash UKIP.

In days of yore, Simon Stoker did one with an EU regulation on bell ringing, and our old "star logo". He's not in the party anymore, but there are plenty of good cartoonists around - just look at Roger Penwill''s work on the Reigate site - http://www.ukip-reigateepsommolevall...igate_fun.html :P

Bring back the octopus!

Hovering over a housing estate near you - each massive tentacle holding a giftwrapped sheaf of regulation and shoving them down chimneys....

OR

A sleigh full of money, being pulled by reindeer with the faces of blair, mad-nelson, prescott et al and a signed marked 'Brussels Gravytrain, this way.

Think I'm getting the hang of this cartooning business................

How about Jim Royale's bare bum, surrounded by the 'crown of Thornes' and the slogan - "EU_ my a***".

For those of you who don't watch television, and the High court jydges amongst you, Jom Royale is the name of a character in a popular television programme on the BBC.

Going off topic for a moment; the radio is full of debate today about the school in Wellingborough that is to allow its pupils to use the F-word a maximum of five times each per lesson!!
That could amount to the teacher getting 150+ Fs a session!!

Is it any wonder standards have fallen so low when the BBC itself on their BBC3 or BBC4 digital channel are running a programme with the title "Who the F*** is Pete Doherty?"

No comment!

Mr Large wasn't there when I was. Great, now when people see Weavers on my C.V it'll be a negative!

The" F " word is very bad,but nowhere near as bad as saying "BBC", oops I said a filthy three letter word.
