I received this a couple of days ago, and wondered how everyone felt.
The POWER Inquiry’s Democracy Dinner week (12th-18th September) is now less than a month away. Don’t forget to register your dinner online at www.powerinquiry.org/dinner. Over a hundred and fifty people have so far registered to hold their own Democracy Dinner. From lunchtime butties in Manchester to Sunday roast in Sunderland, people up and down the country are preparing to discuss how to improve our democracy. When you register your dinner with us you will receive a Democracy Dinner pack with invitations, a ‘menu card’ of questions, a guide for hosts and everything else that you need to make a success of it. The ideas included in the summaries that you send back to us will feed INTO phpbb_the POWER Commission’s deliberations this autumn, and will have a major bearing on their recommendations. These will be included in the POWER Inquiry’s final report, which will be published in February 2006. I hope that you will enjoy a Democracy Dinner and give us your views on how to improve our democracy. For further information please visit our website, www.powerinquiry.org or call us on 0845 345 5307, Best Regards, Mike O’Carroll Michael O'Carroll Events & Networks Coordinator POWER Inquiry - An independent inquiry INTO phpbb_Britain's democracy.
