By steering clear of any divisive or patronising measures like quota places for those inferior creatures from the barbarian outer provinces.

By putting in effort in Scottish Campaigns.

Here's a thought: When we target in future, why not see what seats in Scotland can be easily targetted. After all the Tories don't do well up there, so the whole negative campaign can't affect our voteshare (ie: Labour voters can't be swayed by the argument that UKIP is a vote for the Tories or vice versa)

The only problem is the SNP, false nationalists. I say, let's strike at scotland and put every bit as much effort and financing INTO phpbb_Scottish By-Elections and other Elections as we would INTO phpbb_an English Seat at election time.

Mmmmm, not sure that's going to get the Scots vote!

I agree that pandering is no good.

Perhaps we could throw the question back at Donald!

What about fair women representation that's 52%

Ethnic representation?

Short guy representation!

Yep, it's a sticky road we go down. I guess the best way for the Scots, Welsh, Irish to get better representation is for those areas to get more members!

Vicious circle in a way though.

We shouldn't even be thinking in those terms (representation for "areas", etc.). It is the United Kingdom UKIP is seeking to represent; our policy should be to treat every part of it exactly the same. One of the things badly wrong with British politics is the tendency for each sub-division of the UK to try to benefit itself at the expense of the rest (North v South, Scotland v England, and so forth, by country, region, county, city, constituency, ward, etc., etc.). We do not need to extend that sort of damaging rivalry INTO phpbb_UKIP's internal affairs.

I can't come up with better wording than that. Agreed.

O.K

How does UKIP convice people from Scotland, Ireland and Wales to vote for a perceived Southern English party, without selling it's soul to the devil.

We are getting back to another reason why I can't see UKIP ever winning any real power. The fact UKIP isn't willing to do the dirty, means the others that are will stamp all over it.

Hasn't that always been the way?

My suspicion is Donald MacKay could be from another party, trying to put something there which isn't a real concern.
The name Donald MacKay is a bit too scottish for my suspicious mind and he spells Livingston with an "e" on the end. Mmmm, very suspicious 8)

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. Either way it's an issue for UKIP. If UKIP ever wants to win, how does it lose the Southern Tory party clone tag.

Perhaps putting the 2 ex-Labour member people INTO phpbb_influential positions is a good start.

That link doesn't prove anything, I could put Tony Blair as my forum name, also why hasn't Donald MacKay put any links to UKIP on his profile, most people in UKIP do.
