I wouldn't all get so hot under the collar if I were you - the likelihood of us actually having a referendum on any EU issue during this parliament is virtually zilch :twisted:

This parliament, yes. However, UKIP's leadership seems to want to make a petition for a referendum on these terms the main thrust of UKIP activity for the next year. Some of us think this may be premature (especially since this opinion poll doesn't even give us a majority for withdrawal yet), and may do more harm than good (the feeling on the streets is that the public is a bit fed up with the whole subject of the EU at the moment ). Now would be a good time to work on other policies, or to campaign on current issues like the destruction of age-old liberties by the Bush-Blair "war on terror".
