Could anyone in the right age group (provisionally under 29) PM me telling me who you are, how old you are and roughly where you hail from.

I also want ideas on:

1) Suitable age range

2) Whether we should have separate membership fees and card and so on or just represent young full members of the party?

3) what we should be for and what activities we should aim to be involved in realistically?

4) A name (youthkip will do for now but probably isn't formal enough)

When these things are fixed we can start to recruit and get official affiliation to the party in much the same way as a branch would. I can't see anyone being opposed to this as the party desperately needs youth representation.

Please give this email to any other interested young people and anyone interested and I will try to answer any queries they have.

Percy, please do make sure you speak to Katie Davies in the SE office. She may have already got some plans on the move as she has been tasked with it. She will probably be very grateful to have you take over/help out/whatever.

I would stress that this is only an unofficial group at the moment which is why I only asked for ideas and discussion.

If there are a group of us established with a consensus of ideas then it will be more helpful to approach her like that as I believe she has, like most party staff, more than enough to do.

I would like to see this thing got off the ground soon. There have been rumblings about it for 6mths ish and nought has happened.

I hope 'youthkip' is not the proposed name for this youth body. It sounds awful!

Well, I think it's too late to be honest. Anthony registered a domain name for it, I have developed a lot of documents and associated material. If anyone can come up with something better, be my guest but until then I will use Youthkip.

UKIP is a boring party for old people. No young people will want to join youthkip.
