Seriously though, it's a real shame when a whole element of society becomes so far detatched from the workings of the state that they just regard it as being there to take care of them. It's no wonder that we've got the current nannystate.

When a young person joins UKIP, does that make them a member of Youthkip Automatically?

If a young person joins UKIP, I can't see how we would actually know. There is nowhere on any joining form to my knowledge that asked "are you 16 - 26?", so unless they actually contacted Youthkip and said "hi, I'm a member of UKIP and aged between 12 and 26", then there would be no way of actually making them a member.
