Default UKIP should Practice what they preach

Is this true

http://www.ukipwatch.org/

Quote:
In a hypocritical move UKIP MEPs this week ignored calls from their leader in the European Parliament, Nigel Farage, to disclose their financial declarations of interest on the Parliament's website.
The MEPs who last week were at the forefront of a censure motion against EU Commission President, Jose Barroso for an alleged conflict of interest, refused to declare their own earnings.
UKIP MEPs Godfrey Bloom, Roger Knapman and John Whittaker have so far failed to post their incomes on the Parliament's website. They stand alongside four other MEPs in the Independence and Democracy group who have also not come clean on their financial income.

Remember what was said on another post about the UKIP Watch?? It's very much biased info.

I doubt it is true but I will investigate . . .

The UKIP.org site is worse than my website at Gloucestershire UKIP which at least has an automatically updated news section! This technology is simple really and UKIP.org could apply something more hi-tech.

Hi Alex; ill edit this post when i find it and post the link. I have made some very good suggestions about the website, but it hasnt been actioned.

Regards,
Gareth.

Edit;

http://www.ukipforum.co.uk/viewtopic...er=asc&start=0

Now i know you have some ability in this area, so you may be the man to sort it out. If i know someone is listening who can action it, ill think more about it and maybe come up with some more smart ideas.

One small thing; especially seen as the bright yellow/gold banner loads up first of all, it looks real garish. Would be better if that loaded up last.... after the text on top? im just picking at bits there. Read the link i gave above. 2nd from bottom post on first page, top post on second. Dont mind the bitching.

Regards,
gareth.

I suspect that rather than ignoring Farage (he's not the kind of guy who is easily ignored), they are being one of the following.

a) Lazy/slow.
b) Careful/slow.

Or they didn't think it was that important to get it done quickly.

We'll see. I would expect Farage to have made sure all his chums would be able to comply without problems, before voluntarily making the request in public!

I find it quite interesting that UKIPwatch seemed to have stepped up their attacks a little of late. Corbett must be getting worried that his gravy train might come off the rails.

The difference here of course, is that Barruso has been caught doing something suspicious, but won't answer questions on it. While UKIP's MEP's haven't been suspected of doing anything, but attempting to pressure more openess, by example. Shame they were not more organised and done it all as one, thus to stop Corbett trying to divert attention and keep his self-importance on track.

UKIP remember, have already have shown what they are about on this kind of issue with Ashley Mote. He didn't make the party aware of his local diffuculties, so he was suspended from the party when the fact he had some came to light.

I've checked the Euro Parliament website and Nigel Farage has no declaration of financial interests either.

There may be another explanation.

The dec of financial interest on other MEPs pages, is a scanned document in PDF format. Either they're not aware of the format, PDF scanned doc, they haven't received a document to declare and sign and scan or something else entirely.

It is clear that an MEP cannot just go onto his site and type in the info, it is more complex than that.

The OP accusation of hypocrisy is complete BS it seems to me, not surprising for Nu Labor (note the spelling, no 'u' - owned by America) it looks like delays due to technical expertise required.

Hey, all this only started a few days ago.Besides, who said there was a time limit on posting this info?Investigation will show you that dozens of MEPs have never filed financial interests.

that may be true but for a party who has just recently been chuffed with themselves about the recent censure you would think that UKIP would want to get their forms in to show that they are not the same as the people they are trying to expose

by not putting them in it comes accross as hypicitical which i think is the point that UKIP watch are trying to make
