Default Could we ever unite?

Please indulge me.

I would like to ignore the strong personalities of our respective leaders for the moment...

At membership level, do UKIP members feel that our two parties could ever unite, either as one party, or, within an electoral alliance?

Much has been said about this by other Veritas members but I know that Mr Butcher also has his own views on this.

I would be interested to hear what others thought.

Thanks.

I am in the closing stages of forming a UKIP Branch in my area. Let me say it clear; as long as I am involved, there would be NO deal with any other ANY other political parties.

Veritas was set up so Kilroy could lead a party.

OK - point made.

But please let's forget the all of the sniping for the duration of this thread at least.

It was a reasonable enough question. Do you feel that the membership of Veritas have different political beliefs from those of UKIP members?

And if so, please give us your honest opinions of what those beliefs are.

If you feel that there are very few differences then the question of unification would seem to be a sensible one that warrants discussion.

The question is, what do you want? Do you want a lot of in-fighting with 2 parties with basicaly the same reason for their exsitence, or should we put up a united front to take this country forward.

everyone has a different outlook on things in life but, these must be put aside if we are going to succeed.

even members of UKIP have dissagreements about some policies.

we must NOT continue to let the people think that our aim is a joke and tear one another in different directions, whatever you may think of UKIP we must be seen as a legitimate political Party.

It is not a case of survival of the fittest party, its survival of the UNITED KINGDOM.

Country before party.

The only way forward is a "United anti European Union movement."

We need a moderate, centre ground Pasrty which is anti-E.U.. By this I mean it must It must not have divisive and unpleasant policies such as the latest from both U.K.I.P., (I am ashamed to say, as a member for the last 7 years), and Veritas on immigration and asuylum.

Whoever realizes that this is the true way forward will maximize support for a genuine middle ground anti-E.U. alternative for the first time, and such a new force in British politics would stand the best chance of winning in the end. Such a Party could not be brushed aside as just a load of disgruntled right-wingers, but a moderate mainstream opposition to the main Parties.

R.K.S. has shown, with his views on the superiority of our culture over some others, that he is unfit to lead such a party, I would respectfully submit. U.K.I.P., with or without Veritas, or other Parties, could become such a Party but must truly make a real effort to change.

So you believe all cultures are equal. The crux of what you are saying, is that kilroy is proud to be british, therefore he shouldnt run Britain.

Anyway... I think people from both sides of the kilroy divide, should list in a 1) 2) 3) form, here, the specific differences beetween the two parties. I think you will find there arnt many. ( i might be wrong. if so, tell each other) and so i, as a supporter of BNP no less, think you should get back together. while i dont agree with you all id walk hot coals before id do anything to get labour in again.

regards,
Gareth.

Veritas, to all intent and purpose, are finished. An umbrella of parties creating a credible force would be thought provoking, but I cannot logically see it happening - As pointed out, too many personalities, name calling, stone throwing, etc...etc...Common sense you will find at the end of the queue

So "Veritas, to all intent and purpose, are finished." - I'll not comment on that but I accept that that's what you think.

UKIP? I read through your threads on this forum. Poor leadership. Bad presentation. Poor logo. At the limit of its appeal to voters. Does not attract enough "working class" votes. etc. etc.

So if you're all sincere in your beliefs, where do we go?

A new party?
