Suppose you were not an evangelical Christian? What would you say then?

I don't care two hoots if anyone is gay or not, but I do not like the way it is promoted as the equivalent to heterosexuals.

Whatever they do, I'd rather they did it in private. If they want some law changed so they can inherit property etc, that's OK.

In other words, if I was a completely different person, with completely different beliefs? I can't really answer that question, as I dont know what I would be like. Though even before I became a Christian I thought the gay agenda had gone too far

They do. Do it in private, that is.
As do heterosexuals.
In both cases there are exceptions.

A loving relationship is a loving relationship - none is more "equivalent" than any other.

I do not like the idea that a senior policeman in the Met had to be hauled out of a Gay Club, wearing makeup and ladies clothing to go to a murder scene.

Understood. No offence intended, you did say "I'm an evangelical Christian, so I would have to say no" which reads as if you are blaming evangelical Christianity for your answer as opposed to taking responsibility for it yourself.

Still, evangelical Christianity is your choice anyway so I guess it amounts to the same thing.

No worries, just wanting to gain some understanding here.

So, what did Jesus have to say about such matters?

Never heard o' that one.
I rather like it myself.
Great visual.
Damn funny.

Shows some of our senior police officers are human anyways ...

You may think it funny, but the officers who had to yank him out were not amused. How can be get respect from the public and criminal fraternity dressed like that  He is regarded as a joke.

>shrug< What police officers do, off duty, so long as they act within the law, is no concern of anyone else's one would think.

The other officers had two choices - accept things as they were or make a fuss. If they were embarassed or offended then it may be useful to ask why they should have been so.

You may not understand this, but the guy has probably gained a lot of respect from the public by the simple process of being honest about his sexual identity. Folks respect honesty in such matters.

Shame his colleagues seem unable to do likewise.
