Maybe it's because Michael Howard is a former member of the European Movement's Executive Committee.

No, but Churchill was much more of an internationalist than Thatcher.

I am not denying she had her failings, but anyone who gets on the wrong side of the Bilderberg Group is a friend of mine.

You clearly know f*ck all about the railway otherwise you wouldn't make such a bone-headed comment as that. I've worked in the rail industry since 1973 so I know something about it.

She treated us reasonably fairly. I bet you're thinking she privatised it. WRONG. That was Major (1993 Railways Act), in a stupidly pointless attempt to comply with an EU directive (91/440 for the serious anoracks). And neither of them deliberately set out to bankrupt the railway, unlike Byers.

Oh, and Scargill screwed the mining industry, not her.

You may have a point about the hospital cleaning though.

Frankly she was the least bad prime minister I have ever known, from a libertarian point of view.
