Default Liam Fox lies to win back UKIP votes

http://politics.guardian.co.uk/conse...446315,00.html
Quote:
The Tory Chairman, Liam Fox, has been covertly recorded telling a Commons meeting that tougher asylum policies could woo back deserters to the UK Independence Party, while the frontbencher Gerald Howarth was taped discussing political correctness at a dinner organised by the right-wing Freedom Association: both tapes were passed to Labour-friendly newspapers.

Will this sniveling little toad do anything to keep his grubby mits on power? Not only is he suggesting Tory policy based on winning votes, rather than being right, but lying about what the Tories can do anyway!

I hope the Woodspring UKIP candidate gives him a grilling at the first opportunity!

Never mind Labour stealing UKIP's thunder on the issue of asylum seekers ... people should be reminded that this is exactly what UKIP has attempted with the BNP. So serves you right!
The BNP has campaigned consistently on this issue from the very beginning.
UKIP has only recently touched the subject. The BNP has several elected councillors on the strength of this issue alone. UKIP has none.
And this abusive language, Mr Davies, is not a mature way to put across an opinion. Try a bit more decorum.
If someone called you a "snivelling little toad" you would be screaming blue murder.
This act of indignation does not become you.

I received a Conservative leaflet through the door today from Mr Fox stating:
"At the next election people will face a clear choice: unlimited immigration under Mr Blair or limited, controlled immigration with the Conservatives"

Now, can someone correct me if I am wrong, but can the Conservatives legally block immigration from the EU?

That is the whole point and why my appraisal of his character stands. He tells lies! You should pull him up on it at every opportunity.

Further down the leaflet it says "We will set an annual limit to immigration, including a quota for asylum seekers".

Wasn't this the policy that the EU told them was illegal?

Yep, exactly. Is there somewhere you can complain to if someone is posting false sales information through your door?

It is a blatant untruth and thus they should be held to account. Especialy Fox, who is in such a position of seniority in his party.

As we are all citizens of the European Union how on earth can there be "immigration" from [within] the European Union?
Anyone who is a EU citizen can move from country to country within the Union, just as a Scotsman, Englishman or Welshman can move about the United Kingdom.
Immigration comes from beyond the borders of the EU.
