Perhaps UKIP ought to get in cahoots with them and adopt their plans for our manifesto?
Surely not?
There'll be a lot of people going back to the Tories if UKIP even bother giving the time of day to those folks in T2000.

Example:
"Speeding traffic means parents can no longer allow children out on their own, so they stay cooped up at home or escorted everywhere by car."

(I rather though it was all the pedophiles which made parents keep their kids cooped up, and all the Playstations and computers which made the kids actually want to be cooped up).

---
It should come as no surprise to learn that T2000 are funded mainly by public transport companies who have a bit of a vested interest in the organisation's policies).

Not - THE John Carter, of Barsoom???

Nah- paedophiles were around in the forties 'n' fifties, they were bunged in the local loony bin if they were caught.

What stopped kids playing in the streets was a) the local beat-walking constabule was gradually removed
b) mums frightened that the kids would get run over
c) other more complex social reasons mostly involving telly.

Cycle lanes are a part of the local environment and as such should be part of a wider scheme to improve that environment.......... for example, where you see narrow cycle lanes squeezed onto the sides of busy roads, you have to ask yourself why.....

Most pavements are too narrow and busy, to be user friendly or attractive, or even functional...........

We need to look at many of the things that local German councils have done...... they haven't just created a path for cycles, they've improved the landscaping, and provided space for all users - so this is the model UKIP should go for.
Yah - the UK has some special problems with space and narrow roads, and this should be a part of the selling of this policy.
We know what we have is bad.... So, UKIP policy is to improve things to "this" sort of standard

This is a point I have raised before. it is about looking at other peoples Ideas and advice, taking it on board, coming up with a similer plan or better for the good of the people, and not being forced to do it by laws implemented by the EU.

.......and this should be taken further..... yes learn from others... but also tailor it to GB inc

If you look at how shabby and rundown many of our towns and cities are - they are far from pleasing to the eye... one would have to agree that they could and should be a lot nicer
So, improving our outlook to improve our quality of life....... stop the slide INTO phpbb_squalor, improve our environment, give us all space to breath - include play space for kids and sensible pursuits like cycling and walking...
If we want to improve our lives, we have to improve the environments in which we live.......

.........and this should surely be policy

I think I'd prefer to see the disused railway lines used as railway lines again. Then maybe some of the new roads could be converted INTO phpbb_huge cycle paths.
